The Hip Hop

One of the best things about Art Hop is the kickoff Celebration on Friday night. It will take place at the Fresh Market, Futon Gallery, and Great Harvest Bakery parking lot on Pine Street, starting at 8 P.M Participants will enjoy a free evening of music and dance. This year's band is Grupo Sabor, Vermont's own brand of Meringue-Salsa; they'll be playing from 8-11 pm. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

The Juried Show

Last year, over 200 pieces of art were submitted for the juried exhibition component of the Art Hop. The pieces that comprise the Juror's Selections which will hang in the Maltex Building. Due to the size and, numbers of submitted art, some works will be exhibited in other locations, which will be noted on signage in the Maltex Building.

The Silent Auction

This year the Silent Auction will be bigger and better than ever, where buyers can bid on art, items, and services from local businesses. The Silent Auction will take place Friday night only, at the Great Harvest Bread Co., from 5 to 10 pm. Proceeds from this event will benefit SEABA and its programs.

Saturday Events

Saturday is also a great time to Hop - studios are open during the day, art demonstrations are going on at various locations in the south end, and we'll be awarding prizes to participants in the juried shows.
